“Sleep Tight Dear Pablo for an Average of 1,041,000 Benjamins,” is a wall piece which mixes ideas of what is a window and what is a painting. It sets up a scene with two historically iconic figures, one who dealt with culture in political way, Dr. Benjamin Franklin and the other effecting culture as a famous artist, Pablo Picasso. They are set up in an endearing but risqué scene covered by a leaded glass reference to Picasso’s “Boy with a Pipe,” of 1905, that sold in an auction for 104,100,000 USD. The size of this piece is the average of all Picasso’s works on canvas from the “ The Ultimate Picasso” (Léal, Brigitte, Christine Piot, and Marie-Laure Bernadac. The Ultimate Picasso. New York: Harry N. Abrams, 2003. Print.)
