Wear One Another
Wear One Another, a collaboration between Ariana Amacker and myself, is wearable interactive piece made for the TEDxLab that was played with during the fika breaks at TEDxGöteborg 2014. Our lab attendees wore custom-made two-person and four-person clothing. There were different configurations of body positions, body-to-body relationships, and amounts of physical space taken up.
Our intention was to document the emotional spatial interactions between these bodies in conversation. We were especially interested in the sounds and perception of time while they explore the TedX lab lobby. There was an added bonus in the fact that we created an intimate space between two patrons during the busy fika time.
As researchers at HDK, we also recorded the sounds as a form of documentation and asked a few questions to investigate the perception of time during the activity.
